From the minute our lambs hit the ground, we are excited to watch them mature with the traits we value at Gererdan. Heavy selection criteria is placed on survivability (we lamb in August), growth, muscle development, and the ability to reach target weights in optional time. Our females are key to our successful breeding program – foremost, they are highly functional with the ability to raise multiples off grass and without lambing difficulties. Sires used must display the traits we look for in our females, and positively contribute to the fundamentals of successful prime lamb enterprises. We sell our rams at 12 months of age off grass. We encourage our clients to select their own, however we are happy to help make selection decisions with you based on your individual requirements. We offer an invitation for you to visit us at Gererdan, give us a call at any time.
